Chikungunia or avian flu?

Recently there are messages that, probably, strain H5N1 can be transferred to cats and what is the most terrible thing to mosquitoes. Experts are afraid, that at a mutation of a virus "under mosquitoes " much more serious epidemic can burst. So, "Izvestia" informs, that now mosquitoes are transmitting agents of a fever chikungunia virus on the island Reunion, near the east coast of Africa.
About 100 thousand people out of the 700-thousand population have already been sick. Symptoms of chikungunia and the bird's flu are very similar, now physicians are carring out a sanitary processing in zones of the infection spreading. As to the cats' diseases - while the experiment was carrying out in Thailand (when cats intentionally infected by air - drop way and by giving them infected birds) it was found out that virus H5N1 was really dangerous and fatal to cats.
